Frank J. Bisignano deposited $250 into the investment accounts of children in his former Brooklyn neighborhood. The money went into the Trump Accounts program on October 29, 2026.
The donation targets kids ages 2 to 8 who live in ZIP code 11234. That area includes Mill Basin, Marine Park, Bergen Beach, and Flatlands. The funds came from The Bisignano Family Fund.
Bisignano is the head of the U.S. Social Security Administration. He grew up in Old Mill Basin. He said his life was shaped by the people and schools in these four neighborhoods.
"Brooklyn is home for me," Bisignano said. "This donation is an investment in the children of Brooklyn, giving them a boost in their personal wealth building journeys."
The accounts hold long-term savings. Investment growth is not taxed until the money is withdrawn. The $250 contribution is currently invested in a fund that tracks leading U.S. companies.
This is not a one-time gift to a charity. It goes directly into individual children's investment accounts. Parents and legal guardians must activate these accounts to receive the money. Other donors, including employers and family, can also contribute once the account is active.
