Roseville football ended its regular season on Friday night with a 24-14 victory over Coon Rapids, securing the Metro Maroon subdistrict title. The win gave the Raiders a 4-4 record, their best performance since 2017. Senior quarterback Chase Browning threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns in the contest.

Browning described the result as an amazing feeling, noting that the team had worked hard to see their efforts pay off. The victory resolved the subdistrict standings in favor of Roseville, marking a definitive end to a chaotic season for the program.

Elsewhere in the East Metro, Centennial defeated Anoka 38-6. The result positions the Cougars for a No. 3 seed in the Class 6A playoffs. Anoka was held to single digits for the first time this season, a defensive showing that altered its playoff outlook.

Mounds View took sole possession of the Metro East subdistrict title with a 22-16 win over White Bear Lake. Trailing by two points, Mounds View quarterback Tanner Jude scored on a one-yard run with 65 seconds remaining. A two-point conversion extended the lead to six points, and Preston Johnson intercepted a pass on the Bears' next possession to finalize the result. The Mounds View defense limited White Bear Lake quarterback Wyatt Stachowiak to six completions on 24 attempts.

In other regional matchups, East Ridge beat Woodbury 42-31 behind two rushing touchdowns by Logan Tretter. Forest Lake running back Mack Jurkovich rushed for 245 yards and two scores in a 31-13 win over Stillwater, locking up a No. 2 seed. Jurkovich, a committed St. Thomas athlete, finished the regular season with 1,600 rushing yards. Park defeated Eastview 18-10, with Manny Vargas scoring twice including a 75-yard punt return.

The season's most dramatic finish occurred in the south metro, where Lakeville South kicker Dylan Nelson hit a 36-yard field goal with one second left. The score gave the Cougars a 17-14 upset over Rosemount, complicating the seeding picture for Class 6A playoffs in that region.
