Kevin Federline now owes City National Bank at least $117,704, according to court documents filed Thursday. The debt spans a credit card, a line of credit, and an overdraft line. The lawsuit seeks repayment of the principal plus interest.

The former rapper stopped receiving monthly child support payments from Britney Spears in November 2024. He signed an agreement with City National Bank that same month. The lawsuit states his personal overdraft line and personal line of credit were due in April and June 2025, respectively. The credit card payment was due in August 2026.

Federline detailed his financial situation in an October 2025 memoir. He stated that security for his sons, Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden, 20, came with a price tag that made anyone’s head spin. He wrote that maintaining the lifestyle the boys were used to easily exceeded the monthly five-figure sum. “It added up fast,” he wrote. “People hear figures like that and think you’re financially set. But the reality is far from that.”

He denied coasting on Spears’ money, saying he was not some bum just sitting around waiting for a check. The 48-year-old added that he was out there hustling, grinding, and investing to build a solid foundation for himself and his kids. He has four children in total, two with Spears and two with ex-wife Shar Jackson and current wife Victoria Prince.

Child support payments began at $20,000 per month for their two sons after their 2007 divorce. The amount doubled to $40,000 a decade later when his custodial time increased. Payments dropped back down when their eldest turned 18 in 2023.

Bank of America sued Federline in February for $12,186.64. The bank filed to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice in June, indicating Federline paid the amount owed. He faces interest rates of 20.5 percent on the credit card, 7.5 percent on the line of credit, and 18 percent on the overdraft line in the current City National Bank lawsuit.

Federline’s attorney has yet to respond to requests for comment regarding the new filings.
