Best Buy reduced the price of the Acer Predator XB27OU by $50 on October 23, 2026. The monitor now sells for $329.99. This retail adjustment targets consumers considering an upgrade from IPS panels to OLED technology.
The display features a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a maximum resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. This QHD or 2K resolution is designed for mid-range gaming PCs. Tom's Hardware notes that graphics cards in this tier can typically meet the frame rate and resolution demands without significant strain.
Performance metrics focus on speed and visual clarity. The monitor operates at a 240Hz refresh rate. It records a gray-to-gray response time of 0.03ms, a speed enabled by OLED technology. These specifications aim to provide smooth motion and reduce ghosting effects common in slower displays.
The screen supports AMD's FreeSync Premium feature. This technology synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate with the game's frame rate. The synchronization process removes screen tearing. Color accuracy is another key specification. The unit covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and maintains a Delta E accuracy figure below 2.
The monitor includes HDR10 support, which utilizes a 10-bit color standard. This configuration enhances contrast, color depth, and brightness compared to standard dynamic range. QD-OLED technology generally produces deep blacks and strong contrast, contributing to vivid image quality.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. These inputs allow users to connect a gaming PC and multiple game consoles to the same screen. The price cut makes this specific configuration available at a lower cost point for new buyers.
