Apple TV has set its November release dates, and the schedule creates an unusual collision on November 13. Three titles arrive that day: a bank heist drama, a fact-based film about a disability rights occupation, and a Peanuts holiday special. The other four releases fall on November 4, November 6, and November 25.
The month opens November 4 with the second season of "Stick," a sports comedy from creator Jason Keller. Owen Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer whose career ended 20 years ago. After his marriage collapsed, Pryce works the floor of an Indiana sporting goods store. He stakes his comeback on Santi, a 17-year-old golf prodigy played by Peter Dager. Wilson also serves as an executive producer.
On November 6 comes the docuseries "Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook." It follows actor and comedian Nora Lum, who performs as Awkwafina, through a culinary road trip. Lum was raised in a family of restaurateurs but cannot cook. The series follows her effort to learn and to try reviving her family's Chinese restaurant.
November 13 carries the heist drama "12 12 12." Each episode moves across three timelines: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days afterward. Anthony Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent and Jamie Dornan an American career criminal, and the two cross paths through Europe. The plot turns on a raid against a bank vault beneath Zurich. Also that day, the drama "Being Heumann" begins streaming. Set in 1977, it follows Judy Heumann, played by Ruth Madeley, and a coalition of protesters whose occupation became the longest of a federal building in American history. Mark Ruffalo plays the bureaucrat blocking them. The film is directed by Siân Heder, who won an Academy Award for "CODA." The family special "Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy" also debuts November 13.
The final new title arrives November 25. "Way of the Warrior Kid" follows Marc, a middle schooler played by Jude Hill who is bullied and struggling. His uncle Jake, a Navy SEAL played by Chris Pratt, arrives to recover from an injury and builds a program he calls "Operation Warrior Kid." Linda Cardellini plays Marc's mother. The film adapts a novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, with a screenplay by Will Staples and direction by McG.
Several ongoing series continue into the month. "Brothers," with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, and the British comedy "Small Prophets" both release episodes through November 4. The docuseries "Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars" runs through November 6. The German dark comedy "Where's Wanda?" continues to December 9, and the Liev Schreiber thriller "Nocturne" to December 25. Apple TV charges $14.99 per month and offers a discount inside the Apple One bundle.
