Noise-canceling headphones often remain expensive, but the Soundcore Space 2 have reached a new price floor. As of October 23, the device is available for $106.49 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. This price reflects a $23 discount from the standard list price and applies to all three color options currently in stock.

The Space 2 serves as the successor to the Space One, a model that John Higgins of The Verge identified as one of the best budget options when it launched in 2023. The newer model improves on that baseline while carrying a $30 higher base price. The current discount reduces the gap between the two generations.

Active noise cancellation represents the primary technical upgrade in the Space 2. The headphones suppress low-frequency sounds more effectively than the original model. These low-frequency noises typically come from sources such as train wheels and airplane engines. Soundcore also adjusted the design to produce more accurate sound.

The device retains several features that established the value of the Space One. It supports high-resolution LDAC audio and includes HearID 3.0 software. This tool allows the headphones to adjust sound output based on a series of audio samples provided by the listener, creating a personalized listening profile.

Battery life has increased in the newer model. With noise cancellation enabled, the Space 2 runs for up to 50 hours, an increase from the 40 hours offered by the Space One. When noise cancellation is disabled, the battery lasts up to 70 hours, compared to 55 hours on the previous version.

The headphones include a 3.5mm jack, allowing users to connect via a wired cable if the battery fails. They also feature automatic pause functionality when removed from the head. This function stops playback when the user steps away and resumes it at the same point when they return.

The Verge describes the Space 2 as an easy recommendation due to its stronger noise cancellation and superior sound quality over the original. At $106.49, the current price is the lowest recorded for the Space 2, though it remains $30 above the original launch cost of the Space One.
